The Lady Cadet Course (LCC) is the premier and most competitive pathway for highly educated female university graduates to join the Pakistan Army directly as Commissioned Officers (Captains).
Through the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC), LCC Officers serve in highly technical, administrative, and strategic non-combat sectors. If your goal is to wear the uniform, the official 2026 guidelines have been released with major updates to the accepted degrees and medical standards.

Targeted Degrees for LCC 2026 (Updated List)
The Army does not accept every degree. For the 2026 induction, the GHQ is targeting highly specialized fields in IT and Engineering. You must possess a 16-year BS/BE/MSc degree in one of the following exact disciplines:

Strict Academic Prerequisites (The 62.5% Rule)
The academic merit for female candidates is exceptionally high. Ensure you meet these exact criteria before paying the application fee:
- Minimum CGPA: 2.5 out of 4.0.
- Annual System Marks: Minimum 62.5% marks (updated from 60%).
- Academic History: No 3rd Division or Grade 'D' is allowed. Only one 2nd Division or Grade 'C' is permitted throughout your entire academic career.
- HEC/PEC Verification: Candidates MUST verify their degrees from HEC/PEC before the entrance test.
- Private Students: Candidates who acquired their qualifications as private students are not eligible.
- Preference: Candidates possessing an M.Phil / MS degree will be given preference in the final merit.
Detailed Medical & Physical Standards for Lady Officers
The physical and medical evaluation for the Lady Cadet Course is far more detailed than standard inductions.
- Age Limit: Up to 28 years (No age relaxation).
- Marital Status: Unmarried females only.
- Height: Minimum 5 feet (152.4 cm).
- Running Test: 1.6 KM run must be completed in 14 Minutes.
Advanced Medical Standards (Check Before Applying): Many female candidates are medically rejected at the CMH level due to posture and bone alignments. The official 2026 allowable ranges are:
- Body Mass Index (BMI): Must be between 17 - 23. (Local boards may accommodate 16 - 24).
- Carrying Angle (Arms): 5 to 22 Degrees.
- Elbow Extension (Cubitus Recurvatum): 0 to 15 Degrees.
- Extension Knee: 0 to 5 Degrees.
- Flat Feet (Pes Planus): If your arch disappears when standing but there is no pain, it is a flexible flat foot and is FIT. If it hurts, it is rigid and UNFIT.

Strict Ineligibility Conditions
Do not apply if you fall under any of these categories:
- Twice rejected by the ISSB for Post-Graduate entry.
- Tested within 120 days of your previous ISSB appearance (Note: this 120-day bar does not apply to candidates appearing in GHQ/NHQ/AHQ selection boards).
- Declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B & C (Appeal Medical Board cannot be requested).
- Candidates holding dual nationality must surrender nationalities other than Pakistani upon final selection.
Step-by-Step LCC Selection Procedure & Fees
The application process for LCC involves a mandatory fee deposit before you can take the computerized test.
- Online Registration: Register at
www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk. It takes 5 to 7 days to generate your computerized exam slip. - Deposit the Fee: You must deposit the exam fee in the NBP GHQ Branch (IBAN: PK46NBPA0330004256466227) under the title 'Registration and Examination Fee Personnel Administration Directorate'.
- Initial Computerized Test: Consists of Intelligence MCQs and Academic MCQs strictly based on your specific BS/Masters degree.
- Physical & Medical: 1.6 KM run and initial medical at the AS&RC.
- ISSB & GHQ Interview: Shortlisted candidates will receive call-up letters for ISSB. Recommended candidates are then interviewed by the GHQ Selection Board.

Training, Salary & Service Bond
Selected Lady Cadets are sent to the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) for 6 months of basic military training. Upon passing out, you are awarded the rank of Captain. You will receive highly competitive officer pay, elite medical benefits for your family, and travel concessions.
