How to take the perfect official photo at home
1. Lighting is Everything
Stand facing a natural light source (like a window). Do not stand with the window behind you, as this creates a dark silhouette. Ensure there are no harsh shadows across your face or neck.
2. Posture and Expression
Look straight into the camera lens, not at the screen. Keep your shoulders down and relaxed. Maintain a neutral expression with your mouth closed (no wide smiles). Glasses are allowed as long as there is no glare hiding your eyes, but sunglasses are strictly prohibited by the FPSC and Pak Army.
3. Background and Size Requirements
Most Pakistani government agencies require a solid Blue Background. Visa applications often require a White Background. The file size must be kept incredibly small (usually maximum 30KB) to be accepted by outdated government servers.
