Academic Eligibility Criteria for AMC 2026
To secure your admission, your academic background must meet the following thresholds:
- FSc (Pre-medical): Minimum 70% marks in Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
- A-Levels: Passed in Biology, Physics, and Chemistry with a minimum grade C. (An Equivalence Certificate and conversion of marks from IBCC Islamabad must be attached).
- Special Area Relaxation: Candidates with domiciles from Balochistan, Sindh (District Tharparkar, Omar Kot), Northern Areas, Azad Kashmir (Upper Neelum Valley), and FATA can apply with a relaxed criterion of 65% marks.
Applying on a Hope Certificate
If you are awaiting your final FSc Part-II results, you can still apply! Candidates who scored at least 70% in FSc Part-I can apply using a Hope Certificate issued by the Head of their Institution.
- Condition: You must deposit an attested copy of your FSc II mark sheet to PA Directorate PA(3C) GHQ Rawalpindi within 5 days of your result announcement.
The NUMS MDCAT Requirement 2026 (Mandatory)

You must score at least 55% to be eligible for the BDS course. After NUMS announces the results, the Join Pak Army registration portal will reopen for exactly one week so candidates can upload their MDCAT scores. Candidates must upload their NUMS MDCAT results on the registration portal within the announced timeframe.
Ineligibility Conditions: Who Cannot Apply?
You will be deemed ineligible for the Medical Cadet course if you are:
- Twice Not Recommended by the GHQ Selection Board.
- Permanently declared UNFIT by the Appeal Medical Board (AMB), or UNFIT by any armed forces hospital (unless cleared by AMB).
- Declared medically UNFIT due to Hepatitis B and C (No appeal is allowed).
- Dismissed, withdrawn, or discharged from any Armed Forces training academies on grounds of discipline, character, or medical inefficiency.
- Dismissed or removed from any other government service.
- Convicted by a Court of Law for an offense involving moral turpitude.
Registration and Preliminary Selection Procedure

1. Online Registration (Jun 15 - Jul 14, 2026):
Candidates must register online at the official portal. Need help navigating the tech? We recommend using a desktop.
2. Exam Slip:
Visit the website 5 to 7 working days after registration to download your computerized exam slip. Your test date cannot be changed once assigned.
3. Fee Submission:
Deposit the fee in the NBP GHQ Branch (IBAN: PK46NBPA0330004256466227) titled 'Registration and Examination Fee Personnel Administration Directorate'.
4. Written/Intelligence Tests (Jul 20 - Aug 19, 2026):
The preliminary examination consists of:
- Computer Based Tests
- Intelligence Assessment
- Academic Evaluation
- Personality Screening
Candidates should possess basic computer knowledge because the registration process and examinations are computer-based.
5. Physical Tests:
Successful candidates will immediately undergo physical tests at the AS&RCs.
Physical Test Requirements
You must be physically fit to pass this stage. The requirements are:
- 1 Km Run: Complete within 8 minutes.
- Push Ups: 15 repetitions in 2 minutes.
- Sit Ups: 15 repetitions in 2 minutes.
Preparation Tip
Start preparing at least 6–8 weeks before the test date. Focus on:
- Daily running
- Core strengthening
- Push-up endurance
- Proper sleep schedule
Further Selection and Military Training
Shortlisted candidates will receive a call-up notice via the website for personality testing and interviews by the GHQ Selection Board at Army Medical College Rawalpindi. After clearing the medical exams at nearby CMHs, the final merit list is compiled at GHQ.
- MBBS Course: 5 Years of study.
- BDS Course: 4 Years of study.

Required Documents Checklist for AS&RCs
Gather these documents and bring them on the day of your test:
- 1x attested photocopy of Matric Certificate (or O-Level IBCC Equivalence).
- 1x attested photocopy of CNIC or B-Form issued by NADRA.
- 1x attested copy of FSc Part I details marks certificate AND the original Hope Certificate (if applicable).
- Candidates who have cleared FSc Part-II must bring 1x attested photocopy of their detailed marks sheet (DMC).
- Attested passport-size photographs pasted on the application form.
Additional Information (The Service Bond):
Finally selected candidates are required to sign a strict bond to serve the Pakistan Army for a minimum period of 13 years. This bond goes into effect immediately upon the successful completion of your MBBS/BDS degree at the medical college.
