Sailors form the operational backbone of the Pakistan Navy fleet. Inductions for Sailors happen twice a year (typically Batch A in May and Batch B in November). Whether you want to be a frontline combatant, an aviation technician, or a submarine engineer, the Navy offers highly secure, rewarding careers.
Major Sailor Branches & Exact Requirements
1. Pak Marines (The Elite Amphibious Force)
Pak Marines are the Navy’s special operations and amphibious infantry force. They defend naval bases, conduct coastal operations, execute boarding operations on rogue vessels, and protect critical national assets like Gwadar Port.
- Education Required: Matric Science with a minimum of 60% marks.
- Age Limit: 17 to 21 years.
- Minimum Height: 5 feet 6 inches (167.5 cm - This is strictly enforced).
2. Technical Branch
Technical Sailors are the wizards who maintain advanced ships, submarines, and aircraft. They receive highly advanced engineering, weapon systems, and electronics training.
- Education Required: Matric Science with a minimum of 65% marks.
- Age Limit: 16 to 20 years.
- Minimum Height: 5 feet 4 inches (162.5 cm).
3. Naval Police (Regulating Branch)
Responsible for military discipline, law enforcement, and security across all naval installations.
- Education Required: Matric Science or Arts with a minimum of 60% marks.
- Age Limit: 17 to 21 years.
- Minimum Height: 5 feet 7 inches (A taller, more commanding physical presence is required).
Physical Fitness Warning: Candidates applying for Pak Marines face a much tougher initial physical test compared to regular branches. Ensure you can comfortably run 1.6 KM in under 8 minutes, followed by 15 strict pushups and sit-ups.
